I remember, when as a boy, on many occasions, my father would assign chores for me to
do around the house while he was at work for the day.

Upon his return he would inspect my work to see if I had carried through on my responsibilities.

If I had been diligent and thorough in my tasks, my daddy would call me aside and lay his huge hand upon my shoulder and turn my face toward his. When his penetrating green eyes met my glance, my heart would melt as love exuded from his being, and with a gentle loving voice he would say, "Jimmy, son; you did a good job; your daddy's proud of you.

"My friend, when my father said those words I knew all the energy which I had expended was worth it.

As I have matured into manhood, it has been my desire to follow through on tasks my heavenly Father assigns me, then one day upon His return I'll hear Him say "Jimmy, son, you did a good job, well done!"

Through this website, several of my friends have shared their enthusiasm concerning the unique quality of my gifts and ministry, for which I am most grateful. However, it is my conviction that I, too, must tell you personally how eager I am to serve the Lord Jesus with you through the life of your church.
